And your RS2000? Rockshox do XX and world cups for that! Lighter than the equivalent fox by some margin IIRC.
Are you confusing your RS2000 and RS 200s? Since, the RS2000 wasn't anything particularly special, really.

I was thinking of the RS2000 (MKII escort) when, in their day, they were very special . . . . . . . . but I fear you're leading the thread off topic again  :D:D:D:D
  • Nah. Too many zeros for my liking.

Maybe a stupid question but has the Fuel not got a set of forks on already? Are you just replacing because you can or because you need to?

I've been offered a smaller framed Fuel, if I want it and if mine sells ok, that has got Talas RL's fitted but the seller has the original Float 32 RL's or a set of the Revelation 426 Dual Air U-Turn's. I can chose which set I want, with no difference to the price of the bike. I've noted that the Revelations seem much heavier etc etc as previously in the thread and so I just want to make sure I get the "Best" forks, if you follow my thinking, hence the original question.

    Cheers

They don't even make that Revelation any more. It weighed 3.85lbs, the U turn mechanism adding 0.25lbs.

The 32 TALAS RL (2010) weighed 3.79 lbs, the standard version weighing 3.61lbs.

Somewhat anally, I've weighed the forks in question, on my ebay special scales (Though the weight accuracy may be doubtful, the ratio will be spot on)

    Fox Talas 32 RL = 3.9 lbs (1.77 kg)

    Fox Float 32 RL 130 = 3.75 lbs (1.7 kg)

Rockshox Revelation 426 Dual Air, U-Turn (Inc poploc adjust) = 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg)

RESULTS: There's only 0.23 kg (0.5 lbs) between the lightest Float and the heaviest Revelations

A small tin of Heinz beans (or 2 x medium size bananas ) weighs o.24 kg (0.52 lbs) -

CONCLUSION: Fit the revelations and skip breakfast before the ride ! :D

You could also say that the lightest float is 10% lighter than the Revs. Or, even only 10% lighter.
Depending on what point you're trying to make, I guess.

Yep, it's the poploc adjust, so it's even heavier!
