We are a group of product design students working on developing a new kind of cycling navigation system for urban space in an attempt to encourage the use of bicycles in cities.

you need to look at that survey it's rather leading the reader in many places, you want to find out what people think not just that you can channel folks.

Plus 1 - it sounds like you already know what your design will be and are trying to direct respondents into agreeing with you.
