Cyclocross -Licences?

What licence is required for regional cyclocross races? Would my Italian licence be accepted?

answered in the CX thread, but you dont NEED a license to race regional races, but will be subject to a small levy of a few ££'s if you're not a member of BC. I dont know if your Italian license would get you out of that and suspect probably not, as I believe the levy represents a 'race day' membership of BC for that event - may be wrong though so no doubt others will chime in.
