What bike with a £350/£400 budget

Hi folks completely lost now on what MTB to buy with the above budget. I just want a decent bike that will last with a 22inch frame as i am 6'3

Been offered a red Cannondale sl4 brand new for £400 is this the 2011 bike or 2012 it has hydraulic brakes front and rear ect

height means nothing, inseam and reach are more important, more than a good chance a 21'' or even 20'' would fit you just fine
