i am looking for a new 29er at around £1000 and have narrowed it down to cube and whyte. I have heard that the new Whyte 629 for 2013 rides well but Cube's have better specs. Also I've been told that Whyte's after sales service is top quality. which cube 29er should i be looking at from their new range and which manufacturer should i go for? Thanks

  • Whatever one feels right to you.
I like the Cubes (I have a 26"), so may be biased. A friend has a Whyte. Nice bike, but I like the 'chuckability' of my Cube (it feels lighter up front - my friend thinks it is 'twitchy' and he doesn't feel as safe when he has ridden it).

Word of warning - last year the Cubes sold out before they hit the shops. Virtually all had been pre-ordered before they left the factory, and Cube didn't do another run. If you are going to buy one, get in quick.
