Ksyrium Elites - am I correct in thinking these are still the clincher wheel of choice at this price point?

Any other serious competitors I should consider.

Looking to buy tonight.

Thanks.

Elites are great, just home from Italy and they coped with some pretty nasty road surfaces. They look fantastic too. I also have RS80's and prefer them on longer climbs but its probably a comfort thing.
Why tidy the house when you can clean your bike?

Well I ordered the Elites and today get an email saying "sorry, we're actually out of stock despite our website showing us having them in stock".

Grrr!! Had I known I'd obviously have ordered elsewhere.

I bought a pair of these a couple of weeks back from my LBS (Primera Sports). They're in the sale - here's the link: http://www.primera-sports.com/products/ ... -7307.aspx
I'm sure they are cheaper elsewhere if you trawl, but I wanted to give them the business. It would appear they have them in stock.
Importantly, I am extremely happy with them. I went in to buy the Equipes and they did a fantastic sales job on me. I don't regret it.

Shimano RS80s are worth a look too. I run Pro-Lite Braccianos, love them to bits but I paid 180 for them and they're nearer 300 now. If money were no object I'd have the Ksyriums.
