Carbon fork grease or not?

Got an alloy frame that I'll be installing a carbon fork into. The steerer is carbon. My question is, do I need to grease the steerer tube, or even will it damage the carbon fibre if I do?

Thanks

you do not grease the steerer tube, it's not a bearing surface

you can put some carbon assembly paste on the area where the stem clamps, but it's not really needed unless you can't get sufficent clamping force within the allowable torque limit of the stem bolts
