Not sure if many people are aware of this, but Sky is showing a documentary about Team Sky, starting on 30 August. Could be interesting.

Not so good if you're with Virgin Media
  • Looks good, on series link, it looks quite in depth to be fair.

I really hope it's like a ProCyling feature but on camera

Yeah, I've spent the afternoon trying to find Sky Atlantic on my Tivo and failed. :(
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Virgin is for knobjockeys. Sky Atlantic is the only reason I refuse to leave sky.
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!

Neither are fit to shine the shoes of Inspector Montalbano, which is on BBC Four, thus available to many more people.

Your argument falls down with the "unnecessary female nudity" bit. You've seen Paz de la Huerta, right? There's nothing unnecessary about that!

    FTFY!

Sometimes I think the producers have a conversation along the following lines, not enough nudity these last few episodes, lets set this scene in a brothel.
You live and learn. At any rate, you live
  • Seinfeld reruns on a monday night too!

Atlantic and Rugby League are the 2 reasons I pay my Sky bill.
"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

    Its HBO programs.

They all have loads of nudity in.

eg. Game of Thrones, Homeland etc. Boardwalk empire is HBO too.

Hopefully the Sky documentary is HBO produced too

    Yes.

Flicked over to it once and it was some gladiator style scene. Fair enough.

Next scene are the warriors chatting about said fight in the middle of a 70-man bi-sexual orgy, bronzed and oiled chests of both sexes aplenty.

It's standard HBO - "we have some boring but plot necessary chat to get through. Get the t!ts out". They do it in the sopranos too. "I know, rather than have them sitting drinking a coffee like when we have interesting plot chats, we'll do it in a strip bar because it's a little too long to have them just drink coffee and hold their interest"

Spartacus is not HBO. I saw like half an episode of that and wasn't sure whether I was supposed to be titillated by the porn or the violence. Very weird.

More on topic, how are they going to find enough stuff to fill 5 episodes worth?

I'm pretty sure the 5 part documentary is going to follow the GB cycling team in the the build up to the Olympics as well as Team Sky this season.

    Edit:
British Cycling: The Road To Glory will offer an insight into the inner workings and stars of both the professional road outfit Team Sky and the national British Cycling team. It will lay bare the extraordinary physical, psychological and tactical dimensions of both professional cycling and the bid for continued Olympic success at London 2012. The series will also feature key coaches behind the bid, including Dave Brailsford, Performance Director of British Cycling and Team Principal for Team Sky.

There is also a one off documentary following Wiggins this season.
Also airing later this year will be one-off documentary Bradley Wiggins: Tour Of Duty, which will give a no-holds barred look at how one of Britain’s brightest sport stars balances his professional and personal life. Cameras will follow Wiggins across some of Europe’s toughest races as he trains for the Tour De France and succeeds in becoming the first British rider to win cycling’s most iconic professional race. The documentary will also look to capture the personality of Wiggins as he trains and competes for the Tour, following his journey and speaking to those closest to him. The film will be directed by John Dower (Thriller in Manila).
