SRAM Wifli chain

Hills are my nemesis and on 19% stuff my HR is hitting 174bpm (51 years old 34/26 gear ratio). I want to tackle more hills rather than avoid them to improve but I also want to make sure I don't fall over and have a coronary in the process. I've already decided I'm going to go down the Wifli route and stick an 11-32 cassette on the back to give me some bail out gears, but just wondered if anyone had fitted a Wifli derailleur and if I go to a relatively flat route and want to swap cassettes to an 11-26, will I have to shorten the chain and then lengthen it again? I know if the answer is yes I'll end up having two chains rather than keep breaking links but so be it.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

set the chain length correctly for the 11-32, it'll be fine on the 11-26
sram also does a 12-32 cassette, which has the benefit that you avoid an early gap on the smaller sprockets (it gives you a 14)
i'd fit a kmc missing link instead of the sram powerlock link, then you can easly remove/refit the chain for maintenancemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
