There is a Charge Ladle for larger lady butts but what it's like I don't know.
How often does she ride - butts toughen up.

  • not very often so it would take a long time to toughen up if it all. a nice comfy saddle will just make the rides we do much more enjoyable for her!

Just be careful, what might look like a nice comfy saddle (puffy gel thing) is likely to be horribly uncomfortable.
Well fitting is most important, but the only way really is to ride regularly.

You could try the Specialized BG fit system... lots of shops have this, and it supposedly tells you which width of saddle would be most comfortable for your 'sit bones'. Saddle fit seems to be even more important for women than men - either that or women just complain about uncomfortable saddles more - so it might be worth a try... what 'looks' comfy may not actually be comfy at all.
