Mish mash or not that it is a fine looking Cross bike. Not seen one before and I like the look of it. Contemplating getting my Kinesis Crosslight a paint job to make it more interesting than the electric blue of its standard coat.

Love the yellow red black, looks cool

Are you using the Aksiums for he three peaks? I was thinking of using mine, just not sure they'll stand up to it. I've got some even heavier wheels which I normally use for cross but could do with keeping the weight down as much as poss.

  • Hi,

I was planning on using the Askiums, i have afew friends who used them last year. I have not done the course myself so open to advise.

The frame defo warrents some better kit, I did a straight swap from old cx so just waiting for my new brakes, crankset, tyres, seatpost, bars and depending on how i feel wheels.

    Cheers

Think I'll give the Aksiums a go then. My first time doing the peaks too, I'm mostly scared of the descents, flying down a rocky mountain with crappy canti brakes hmmmm.

If you race cross then I think you have to accept that you will break stuff, so unless you can afford it, high end components are a luxury.

Good luck, bike looks the nuts.

That bike doesn't need better parts, the parts are fine. Even Rival is lighter than DA mechanical. It does cry out for some 303s with Grifo/Fango tubs to make it a nice all-rounder.

I have one too and when I finally sort out my camera I'll post some shots. Mine is a 56cm and is an offical road & off-road weapon.

Lovely bike. There's something about the Van Dessel bikes that really appeals to me...they do road bikes an' all. Now, I wonder how much I can get for a kidney?
