G-From Pads?

Given my fall recently (there's a thread in the beginners section) I have decided that some pads are definitely needed!
A mate has recommended G-From Elbow & Knee pads:

http://www.g-formuk.com/products/knee-pads.html
Has anybody here used these before? If so do you recommend them and are they worth the money?
And does anybody else have any recommendations?
A lot of questions I know but just after some advice really.
Thanks

I have some well used knee pads and would definitely recommend them, though for particularly rocky terrain I would consider a solid pad0

Fantastic, i have the knee pads. Can't fault them really, you barely notice them when riding, they offer great protection when i've falled on jagged rocks at high speed, they're durable and wash in a washing machine on normal settings and cheap.
Get the black ones.0 -
I have the elbow pads which are comfy, not tested them in anger yet - luckily!
It is worth trying them on for sizing, their guide recommended large for me but I had to get medium as my arms are like twiglets and there are no fastners to tighten them.0 -
