Tyres for Hardtail

Hi,
Have a habit of picking up punctures and I think it's down to bad luck or more than likely down to how I ride. I'm unsure of what to put on it. I understand kevlar tyres are expensive but unsure as to whether they are any good.
Thanks,
R

What type of rear puncture, debris (thorns etc), damage to sidewalls or pinch flats?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Kevlar refers to the beads (kevlar = folding, wire = not folding) not the tyre itself. They are more expensive because they generally use better compounds but nothing to do with getting punctures.I don't do smileys.

As said, what kind of punctures? Pinch flats - bit more pressure, but being a hard tail I wouldn't make it rock hard. I wouldn't make it rock hard whatever anyway, should be a bit of give.
Anyway - Single-ply folding Maxxis Minions and High Rollers are what I roll with and have done for ages. Haven't played with many other tyres, just what I'm used to. No flats in 4 years (until this week, have a very slow puncture somewhere finally). I never get pinch flats and I don't find thorns sticking through the walls even though I've drifted into thorny bushes and the like on many occasions.0
