Who would've thought it would be this hard?

Mrs Robin is looking at getting a Hardtail to join me out in the hills. She's not had a mountain bike before and I'm a bit unsure of what to get her. I've been suggesting that getting something for around £300 - £350 with disc brakes would be a good start.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Robin

PS I've got an Orange Crush (2007)

Have a look at the boardman or Decathlon range, and get her to sit on a few bike to check out the size. Some women prefer women's specific bikes (they have altered geometry to take into account that women generally have longer legs and shorter bodies), some don't.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The boardman's seem good, however a bit out of our price range but I'm a little unsure on the Decathlon. Heard some mixed reviews on them.

From Halfords look at the Voodoo or Vulcan......

Decathlon are better than all bar the above 2 at this price point, of the 3 personally I'd take the Voodoo.
