Could I ask why my PM option is no longer available?

    we are just doing some tweeks to the newly registered members as we are trying to reduce the spam that appears.

    Pretty annoying, as I was in the middle of a transaction with another member! I can understand the reasons though. What's the post count threshold?

    20 posts before ability to pm isn't going to fix spammers unless they are directly abusing the pm system.

    The best way to contain newly registered accounts is to make use of usergroups and permissions.

    Yes, I've just joined and have the same issue but no response from any mods yet

    Having to post 20 times seems a bit stiff, particularly as I don't see how it stops the spam :roll:

    i'd just received a PM and it makes me look like a p***k if I don't (Can't) reply!!!, especially as I've asked for something

    Any chance of this limit being overturned?

    Any mods modding????? :D

    This will create more spam as people try to get above the 20 posts and is very annoying!

    Im in the middle of selling something and now cant reply to the person that wanted to buy it. I also cant pm someone else that I've recently sold to and can't now pm them to tell them I've posted the item.

    Its rather annoying.

    Just wondering if you have changed the amount you have to post before you can use the pm?

    Obviously me being new to the forum doesn't help lol,

    Any chance of enabling my messages? I used to be able to send them. I'm trying to buy a couple of items on the for sale board and this new rule isn't helping.

    The 'help section' says contact admin but I can't with PMs disabled.

    I know it is rather annoying as you can't even ask anyone! Can mine be re enabled too please.
