carlisle circular routes

I'll be traveling to Carlisle by train in September to watch the beginning of the tour of Britain stage there. I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a days cycling there before taking the train back later in the day. Have any members got any good suggestions of routes for road bikes only, strictly tarmac and nice country lanes preferred. Even links to strava or bikely would be appreciated greatly. I'm looking for 30-40 mile circular routes.

    You could try this one. I'll have a look for a few more tonight. Do you know which side of Carlisle you'll be staying?

    Thanks for the route, I won't be staying in Carlisle ill be arriving there on the morning then getting the train back later in the day. Routes around that size are what I'm after so thanks again.
