New bike, buckled wheel?

Two weeks ago i bought a new specialized hardrock sports disc 2 to get back into biking.
When i bought the bike i noticed the rear rim did move slightly from side to side (this was literally first ride down the road...) is the wheel buckled? now the rim still moves slightly from side to side, the discs dont rub but it does make a noise by movement i'm talking 5mm each way. The bike has covered 70 miles and does seem ok riding.
The bike is in for a free first service next week and i'm worried if it is buckled they wont repair it as they probably assume i've been bashing it up kerbs when i havent.
The front is fine and doesnt move at all.
any advice is appreciated

Sounds like a badly built wheel if it's both out of true and getting worse. The shop should take care of you as that is unacceptable on a new bike.0

Sure it is not just the tyre? Many appear to do this.0

I've test this with a pin on the frame and it does appear to move, the bike shop said bring it for a service because it WILL need adjustments, whether the rims included i dont know.
The shop i bought it off did a pre mechanical check and the wheels were checked.0 -

and i wouldn't say it was getting worse, its the same as when i bought it0 -
Well they can't have checked properly or just ignored it.
Just ride it for now and make them fully aware when it goes it for its check-up.0 -

Ah, I misunderstood slightly. Anyway, I would still expect the shop to true the wheel for you. 5mm of movement would be outside even the VERY generous British standard for new bikes. A properly built new wheel should be within 0.2mm of true.0 -
just mention it to them when you drop it in for its service, they should sort it for you. As superstar said, are you sure its definitely the rim and not the tyre. A lot of tyres dont sit quite straight and give the impression that the wheel is out of true.My Nukeproof Mega
