Beginners in Marlow/Cookham/Maidenhead area

Hi All,
I have just taken up road cycling, having come across from Mountain Bikes. This is basically because my girlfriend is a triathlete and wanted us to be able to ride together. As it turns out, I love it anyway. However, I am not very fit, and very overweight, so although we can ride together, 'together' only lasts until the first big hill.
As such I wondered if there are any other beginners in the Marlow/Cookham/Bourne End/Maidenhead area who would fancy getting out once or twice a week and dont yet feel 'good enough' to join a club. Unfortunately my girlfriend will be with us to begin with to demonstarte just how crap we are, but you only have to worry about that until the first hill and then you dont see her again until the end!
