Hi, just a quick question.. is there a reason why the Switchback inserts are being sold more expensive than the Basic Comp brake pads?

i was under the idea that since the switchback has a replaceable insert that the insert would be more economical than a brand new Basic Comp..

thanks

They're marketed as being easier to use and change pads and less time consuming, not cost saving. That is why they are more expensive.
  • the customer support from Jagwire emailed me giving me the following explanation: Aside from the fact that the Switchback has replaceable pads.. they also added that the compound used is slightly different on both.. the switchback uses a better compound that will enable the pads to last longer than their Basic counterparts.
