Hi,
I have an itch that needs scratching; I'm in need (well, I want) a new carbon road bike and I am particulary interested in the Canyon SLX range.
In particular I am looking at the bottom of the range CF SLX 8.0 with Dura Ace and Mavic Ksyrium Elites for £2092. There is another Dura Ace equipped bike available, the CF SLX 9.0, but this costs £2764; my question is does the wheelset equate to or justify nearly a £700 increase in price, as using the bike comparison tool the only difference is the wheels?
The bike I am most keen on is the CF SLX 9.0 Pro which comes with Record 11 speed, but I don't think I'm worthy........

I just bought the 8, delighted with it. At 2k the bike is a complete steal in my opinion. The wheels on the 9 are nice but you gain a 100g of weight goodness for £700. You also gain some additional stiffness for climbing but to be honest I didn't see £700 of difference between the elites to justify the extra cash and at the kind of cash for wheels I personally would be looking for something with a more aero inclined rim.0
