ok to figure of 8 them up for posting? Wiggle seem to post me tyres in a huge box which is not an option for me for obvious reasons. So I was going to double them over (the proper way without bending the wires).

sound reasonable?

ta all.

Sounds ok - make sure they're strongly tied though - don't want them springing open like a massive "snakes in a tin" explosion at the other end!

I fasten then together with thick twine for when i carry them on the bike. I can get them folded twice, figure of 8 then again on itself, then I tie them tight with twine. They're a bit odd in shape afterwards but soon prang back into shape when fitted.
  • When I sell tyres on eBay I just put a couple of bin bags over them, then use parcel tape to secure the whole thing - you end up using a lot of tape but you don't have to bend the wires and its not like the tyres are likely to be damaged in the post - I've never had any complaints

Couple of times I've had wire tyres frm CRC, and they have sent them figure of eight style. No issues or kinks when released / fitted.
