Anyone have any experience with this Polar computer/HRM or anyone with any opinions on it given the blurb

Had one before I did the sensible thing and bought a Garmin. It would lose signal often and is sensitive to how far the device is to sensors. The screen is also tiny so if your eyesight is anything like mine you'll struggle to read it on the move.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

Don't do it. I bought the CS100 because I thought I was saving money by reusing the couple of heart rate straps I have from Polar watches. False economy. As philthy3 says the display unit is very sensitive to distance from the sensor which I have now had to re-position at the top of the carbon fork on my CX.
Once I had bought an extra speed sensor and mounting bracket for my MTB I had spent £80+. Should have bought a GPS based unit such as the Garmin and spent a bit of extra on a compatible heart-rate monitor, wouldn't then have to carry my work provided Galaxy S3 to record my GPS tracks. Also would have the advantage of being easily transferable between bikes without the faff of spoke magnets and sensors. This Bryton might be worth considering which includes the heart-rate monitor.

I have a CS200 and its fine.
Only issues are that downloading to a PC is tricky and the heart rate moniter is sensitive to power lines or something which means my max heart rate is normally displayed at 250+ :shock:0
