Crossed the 21,000 mile mark on the Allez today and this eve I have managed to half heartedly bid on a bike and win
So let project commence! The Trek T1 track bike..
Anyone know any good re-sprayers in London? Quite fancy either black or Condor burnt orange!
Deffo going back to drops, adding brakes front back and Cruds for Winter duty.

Armourtex is excellent but, as far as I know, they are powder-coaters and won't be able to do your carbon forks. Sorry I don't have a suggestion for a re-sprayer.
V cool bike by the way. Looks like it'll be a blast to ride. Please post some project pics.0 -
hmmm good point about the forks! Think I need to get my hands on it and spec it how I want before going that route.. will keep this updated.0

So here she is!
First up before it can be used for a 20 mile ride, some bigger gearing! What do you recon?
Trying to work out what chain ring to get. BCD measures 130 and there is a 15 FG and 18 SS on the back.
Sensible head says get this 48t ring, looks like it'll all fit together and get a new 16t free wheel.

Part of me wants to get a SRAM Red TT and run 53 x 18. One less part to replace right?

Actually at that price, might go for it... any reason it shouldn't be used on a track bike with 1/8 chain?0 -
53x18 would be a smaller gearing than 48x16. When you borrowed mine that was 48x15, which would be equiv of about 58x18
Sticking with SS rather than fixed?0 -
Oh, thought it was 48x16! Now I'm just confused. 15t free wheels seem hard to come by so makes sense to start with the 53x18. Can always go 53x17 or 16 later on.
I'll dabble with fixed, less worried about that at the mo, FG sprockets seem cheap to switch around. There is a 15 on there so might have a go at 53x15 down Herne Hill.
Now will that 53 SRAM TT chainring fit? Suspect it is shaped for the crank to bolt from the inside, not the outside like the picture above?
If not I might go down the 50x17 route, suits me on the roadie..0 -
This bike look down pretty good, oh0
