Hi all i'm just looking round for a new mountain bike to mainly use on trails. I'm just starting out really with only small experience but can handle fairly tough terrain. I'm ideally looking for an easy, fast bike that i can have loads of fun chucking around a course so i'm looking for lightweight bikes
I cant decide between:
1: Genesis core

2: BMC Teamlite
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/bmc ... 7#features
3: Pinnacle Iroko:

4: Whyte 901

I'm leaning towards either the core or the bmc but need to know if its worth the extra cost
cheers all any help would be greatly appreciated

The BMC is more racy than the others with the shorter, lighter fork, while the others are built for slightly harder riding.
The Cores always get very good reviews and would be top of my list. Try one for size.0 -
ahh great advice - cool i'll take a look at the core next then
thanks very much0 -
I actually rode this bike today as a test at evans and this felt pretty nice however i'm concerned because this is evans own brand bike how good it is in comparison with the core - It is cheaper though. Anybody got any thoughts about Pinnacle?

Good enough for the money, some solid, dependable parts. nothing wrong with the brand!0

For the same price as the Whyte 901 you can get a 2011 905 from ATB (Whyte sister co). Assuming you are a medium or large. Although in the ex demo section these are brand new, although slightly different spec to the original 2011 model. An awful lot of bike for the money.
