Hi all,
I'm just getting into biking and wanted to get myself a decent bike. I've looked on the forums on a couple of other threads looking for bikes around my money and from what ive seen
Im currently between a Carrera Vulcan which I can pick up from halfords for £380
http://tinyurl.com/clsnjzg (the Halfords url was a few lines long which always irritates me when reading forums )
and a Rockrider 8.0 from Decathlon for £370
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/rockrider-80-id_8194500.html
I personally prefer the Rockrider and have heard good things about them although currently I'm being edged towards the Carrera because I cant seem to find any Decathlon stores I could go to to try the bike on for size
Any help or suggestions for other bikes would be great. I'm 6ft3 so it'll need to be available in a large frame size and am based near Tring in Herts in case anyone know of stores i could visit to try out bikes. Only one I've visited is Mountain Mania in Tring and pretty much all the bikes there were way out of my price range unfortunately.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Ben
