But still just a really not particularly good one.
But I'm definitely better at climbing (& enjoy it more) than any other bit of cycling.
Is that possible?
Am I officially "a climber" now, as it does sound so cool.
Can I was a KOM jersey?
I dont think i'm skinny enough to pull the look off though.

I know exactly where you are coming from.
You have raised a good question. Does being a Strava KoM allow you to wear the Polka dot jersey? HmmmmNone of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

Be careful, this could turn into another you haven't earned the right to wear that jersey thread.Tail end Charlie

I'm still searching for the bit of cycling that I'm "good" at.
I enjoy climbing, I enjoy the countryside, I hate the wind. Probably makes me an average cyclist. Oh well! You've no won the Big Cup since 1902!0 -
Those jerseys are 'replica' jerseys, ie. they look like the actual jersey, they aren't the real thing.
I'm in the same boat, give me several miles of more than 5-10% and I can start to hurt the rouleurs, who's wheels I suck so much! All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

puncheur or grimpeur? I'm more of a rouleur myself.
I do enjoy the climbing though.. but only when I can go at my own pace!0 -

Puncheur - Skinny, out of the saddle with accelerations?
Grimpeur - Pure power, big gear?
Rouleur - Low gear, high cadence?None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

Grimpeur - Pure power, big gear?
Rouleur - Low gear, high cadence?
Puncheur - Good at kicking up shorter steeper climbs
Grimpeur - 'climber' in French
Rouleur - All rounder.0 -
could be wrong but is it
grimpeur = pure climber, able to kick on a big climb = Froome
puncheur = can handle a cat 2 climb but also ride on the flat = Gilbert
Rouleur = TTs, spring classics, break a hole in a headwind = Cancellara"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

Thanks.
I guess I am a rouleur who enjoys the challenge of a climb. Not that I am fast up them, just masochistic.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
None of the above ...
I'm not fast up the hills
I'm not fast on the flat
I'm not fast down the hills
I'm not all round either!0 -

I've found I'm a really good sprinter, but I'm rubbish at endurance. I can beat most people in a quick sprint, even when they have bikes much lighter/stiffer/nicer than mine, yet I can't cruise along at their pace for a long time. Oh well....

If I work on my endurance I could cycle down to Glasgow I suppose (might take a few days haha)
