Hi, I'm new to the forums so sorry if this is in the wrong place
I got this bike today very cheaply (when i say cheap, i mean FREE) but can't seem to find any info on it! Obv i know the make but cant find anything about the 'Discovery' range. Can anybody give me any info? Is the bike any good? I read that these days Emmelle is a joke but around the web there is the general feeling they used to make good bikes. My main desire for the bike is just to ride to work and back and go on bike rides on weekends. If I grow a taste for it I may look into racing but i'm aware this bike wouldnt be good enough for such things
Thanks for any help/info

nothing wrong with any bike if its free.
how far do you intend to ride each week? like said above. if you find you enjoy it, upgrade. if you find you dont enjoy it, you aint lost any money.
p.s. you will enjoy it0 -
My first mountain bike was an emmelle, 19 speed brought through the free ads. It was epic!0

Well to work and back all week will add up to about 15 miles(3 miles each day) and I was thinking of cycling alongside my gf as she trains for a marathon, she currently runs about 6/7 miles per run on weekends0 -

Looks fine for it's intended use.
Pretty much how I started out albeit a friends steel mountain ridge (JJB Sports for about £80.00)
As long as it works you'll enjoy it!0 -
Its a cheap number judging by the components attached to it.
BUT it will work just fine for what you want - fill your boots.0
