Read reviews of the KHS Alite 2000 on here, so thought I'd look into prices. Only store that seems to sell them in the UK is http://www.khsbikes.co.uk/bikes/khs-alite-2000. Right now it's on sale for £539, which seemed like a good deal after reading the reviews. What I have noticed though is that the spec they list for the bike doesn't match any of the review specs (other than the frame I believe).

KHS Alite 2000 Spec:

Frame: New smooth weld (carbon look) hydroformed 6061 alloy, 1800gr
Fork: RST First Air 110mm, alloy steerer, mag lowers, rebound adj, lock out, 1700gms
Speed: 27 speed (3×9)
Derailleur Rear: Shimano RD-M593 Deore Shadow , Long Cage Brake
Levers: Avid Elixir 1(white clamp/black lever)
Brakes: Avid Elixir 1 white, 160mm rotors
Derailleur Front: Shimano FD-M430 Alivio, 34.9
Shifters: Shimano SL-M430 Alivio, 9spd Pods
Crankset: Shimano FC-M430 Alivio, Octalink, 44/32/22T
Bottom Bracket: Shimano Octalink, ES25 Cartridge bearing, 118×68
Cassette: Shimano CS HG20-9 11-34T, 9-speed Chain: KMC Z99 with missing link
Tires: Kenda John Tomac Small Block 8, 26×2.1 Folding kevlar bead Rims: WTB SX24 doublewall disc only
Spokes: 14 gauge black with red alloy nipples
Handlebar: KHS/Uno Alloy 6061 680/25/31.8
Stem: KHS/Uno 3D forged 31.8, 4-bolt
Headset: Cane Creek A-head 1-1/8, Zero Stack
Saddle: New WTB Volt Comp (with channel) white/blk/red
Seatpost: Alloy micro-adjust single 27.2mm
Pedals: Wellgo alloy with CNC cage
Grips: Clarke/Q2 Vice Lock-Ons white/red

Are they decent? worth the £539?

Last bike I owned (before some **** stole it a few weeks ago) was a Cube Analog 2011 http://www.cyclezoneuk.com/17094/products/Cube-Analog-Disc-Black-n-White-2011.aspx?utm_source=Froogle&utm_medium=PriceComp&utm_term=Froogle&utm_content=None&utm_campaign=PriceComp1 To me that seemed a decent bike, so if the KHS is comparable to it in spec, then i'd be happy with that.

The other bike I've looked at is the Voodoo Hoodoo http://www.voodoobikes.co.uk/bikes/mountainbikes/hoodoo, so again, if the KHS compares well against that (with the bonus of the lighter frame) then I'd be happy to buy it.

Thanks for any advice.

Light, well equipped, but the fork can be temperamental, tops out a fair bit under high pressure, then is sluggish at low pressure. Will work well if you are 10-12 stone.
