Specialised Hotrock grips

My kids have both got Specialised Hotrocks and on the whole we have been pleased with them. Most of the bike has stood up well to general wear and tear but the grips are trashed. Apparently Specialised don't sell replacement grips - anyone know where I can get a couple of sets of short (70mm) grips to go with twist shifts. I guess I could cut down some longer ones but would prefer to get something that was designed for the job rather than bodged to fit.

probably not what you are after, but I know Ergon do short grips for gripshifts: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Sear ... =gripshift

Maybe there is something out there...
  • Thanks apreading. I've got some Ergon grips on one of my bikes and think they are great, but I don't really want to spend £30 plus (times 2 bikes) when kids will probably trash them. Looking for something nearer £10 a pair, so can be replaced again if required.

  • In case anyone is interested I ended up with some cheap and cheerful Oxford HG557 grips.

Still had to move the brake levers and gripshift in a centimetre or two but happy with the results. New grips make a big difference.
