Hi all,

I'm relatively new here, Although not really new to MTBing, I used to ride a lot a good 10 years ago. But the ability to drive and getting lazy made me stop entirely (Bad I know  )

I've started to get a keen interest in riding again. So I've decided to overhaul my old bike so before spending £500+ on a new bike so that I can make myself motivated to earn it.

So, my question, I've stripped my frame right down and I discovered that I had managed at some point to damage the crank and bottom bracket. I've pulled out my old bracket and I've learnt its Bracket Slot in the frame (what's its proper name? ) is 68mm in length, and 33mm in diameter.
The current bottom bracket is 127mm long. Although I assume that length is only relevant to the type of cranks you want to fit? There seems to be various types now since the old square tapered ones.

I'm basically looking for a decent cheapish bracket and crank to get me going again. My budget is fairly low Sub £50 as a set or for both as I do not know quite what BB work with what cranks.

Thanks :D
