I have just taken the head off the steel bolt on my seat clamp and now need a new one. My post has a habit of slipping and i need something that i can give a good tighten to. Also i want something light. Would something with a Ti bolt allow me to give it more welly? I need a 31.8 diameter.

Thanks

Ti is weaker, more flexible and stretches more than a good ol' hi tensile cromo bolt.

Try the basic m parts one.

Thanks for that. I was close to getting one with Ti bolts and you saved me from impending disaster. After looking for some new pads i came across this http://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=2&c=73&p=851& so decided to try one. Ive had slippy seat-post problems for quite some time and this could be the answer i hope!

Use some carbon gripper paste even if it's ally in ally......

Stock GT clamps are quite light and pretty tough.
