I'm about to order a pair of sidi eagle 5 shoes but unsure of sizing, their website indicates an English size 8 is a 43.5 in their size, but isn't totally clear to me, I usually get a size 43 in other cycle shoes, any advice would be useful.
Thanks

If this helps - I find Sidi shoes are one size up on Spesh - so 45 in Spesh becomes 46 in Sidi.

My normal go to work shoes are UK size 10.

  • size 8 uk - take a 42 in spesh and 43 in sidi.

the sidis fit like a glove with little need to do much with the ratchet - winter socks would require a size up.
iirc it used to be tricky to get .5 sizes in the UK, this may have changed.

Thanks for the links wish, looks like 43.5 is the one to go for.
  • I've also gone one up from Spesh (47 to 48)

Looked at the Sidi cafe size guide, they have 2 charts, one indicates a Uk8 as a 43, the other a 43.5, rang Sidi cafe and the guy said order a 42!!! Which I thought was Uk7, even he was unable to tell me why their charts show 2 different sizes, maybe order the 43.5 and see how they fit, messing with returns is a pain though, but no dealers near me to try so will have to go with it.
  • I would go 43.5

Well I ordered a 43.5 and was delivered next day, unfortunately too long, returned them and ordered a 43 which is UK 8, came today and fit perfectly, I must be one of the lucky ones that fit the same as normal shoe size, by the way, Sidi cafe are brilliant to deal with, even gave me a discount code for the second pair which more than covered the postage return cost.
