Hi,
So I built my Soul a few month ago and ridden it quite a bit but I just don't feel right on it :? I'm only 5'5" so I got a small frame and it seems to have quite a long top tube yet I feel cramped on it ? Another thing I think I should of gone with 170mm cranks for my height instead of 175. I've got a 70mm stem do I need a longer one or maybe try a lay back seatpost ? Why do I feel cramped on a long'ish bike yet I'm a short ass
Would it be a good idea to go for a bikefit, I mean I have one when I buy a road bike.
Thanks.

On a road bike you sit in the same position all the time, on an MTB you move around a lot. Fittings are a waste of time.
Which is not to say the bike is the wrong size for you.
Post a pic of you on it.I don't do smileys.

^^ this.
I'm 6 foot and have had bikes from 16.5" up to 20" and, for the riding i was doing, fit them all. So it's not as clean cut as road cycling.
At 5 1/2" a small frame should be fine, but with modifications like you've mentioned, you should get it right - could try slightly wider bars as well?0 -
.....erm, i mean 5 1/2' not "
No offence. Although, being less than 6 inches tall would make for a good pic!0
