SL4 or Rockhopper comp?

Hi, I am looking for an entry level hardtail that will be used for commuting but mainly for southdowns trails.
I have been looking at the Cannondale SL4 and the Spech rockhopper comp, both 2012. I can get either of these bikes for the same price but which is the best? I think the rocky has the slightly better groupset but is the cannondale a better frame and stem? Or even another model for the same sort of price If anyone can steer me in the right direction with expert advice or personal experience I would be grateful, Thanks.

Not much in it to be honest, both are decent enough. I'd go for the one that fits you best.0
