What valve type

I pick up my Giant Defy 3 next week (first road bike). I wanted to start getting some bits and pieces together for it - could someone let me know what type of valves the tyres use, and recommend a decent pump please?

    You want inner tubes with a Presta valve

    Are you looking for a mini pump for all of your use or one just to slip into a pocket?

    Personally i'd suggest a track pump for home, and a CO2 inflator for out on rides.

    Make sure you get the right valve length. Deep rims need longer valves.
