Hi All

Maybe a silly question, so please be gentle ,

I have just bought myself a nice shiny new Reba fork (RL 2012,from Merlin) , for my 2011 rockhopper :D

My lbs is fitting , but not till the 20th :(

Will i need to fit a new headset ? / crown race ? will Lbs refit existing ?

Or should i ? seeing as im having the fork fitted does it make sense to have headset/crown race renewed at the same time ? or not necessary ?

Had the bike just over a year and loving it , have managed to resist the upgrades for a whole year ! ( excluding ,pedals /grips etc). I know there is a whole upgrade/ buy new thing , but really love the bike, and not ready for a new one yet.

All advice opinions welcome and appreciated

Jason

They should take the race form the old firk and put it on the new fork.

Presuming the old headset is not trashed.

The old ones will be fine matey.

I just made the same upgrade. The Reba is pretty nice and alot lighter, you should find you can corner better with it. Not sure if its due to the lighter weight or better suspension tracking keeping the wheel on the ground more. I certainly like mine 8)

Ditto here, the Reba RL's have transformed my bike.
