I posted on here a while ago about picking a bike, had lots of things going on since and still haven't bought a bike and my savings are nearly gone
Anyway, I will be saving up and WILL be buying a bike as soon as possible. My problem is, what bike? I'm a rookie (well returning to cycling after a while away) but I don't mind paying for quality.
I can't decide whether to get something like a Voodoo Hoodoo/Bokor/Carrera Fury and then upgrade as I improve, or whether I should just spend more on a better bike with a better frame and not need to upgrade as quickly?
As said, the bikes above look decent and people seem to like them, but I love the Radon bikes ZR 7.0 etc.. and I also like the idea of a 29er after a bit of reading. The bike will be used to commute 13 miles each way and then for weekend rides on very gentle off road paths until I improve and I can get away with my brother in law at some point..
Help me guys, I don't know where to start!

It does depend on how much you want to spend. If you have the cash go for at least a Fury as is light an well equipped. Unfortunately most 29ers at this price are not.0
