Greetings all,

This is my first post so apologies if this is in the wrong forum subsection and please be kind!

I've been using a bike to commute to work for about 2 years now. I currently own a Claud Butler Explorer 500 and my daily commute is roughly a 10 mile round trip on not to hilly roads through London. I also do the odd 20 - 30 mile leisure ride over the weekend and the very occasional longer ride to somewhere outside London.

Now that I have a bit of "experience" I want to upgrade my bike a bit and get something that is both lighter and faster (gettign tired of road bikers breezing past me, ha). I think I'm essentially looking for a hybrid that is a bit more towards being a road bike...

The top end of my budget is £600 and after much consideration I think I've narrowed it down to the following three models:

Giant Rapid 2 2012:

Boardman Hybrid Comp:

Orbea Carpe H30:

At the moment I think I'm leaning towards the Giant Rapid 2, but I've heard that the Boardmans offer very good value for money at their price point. As for the Orbea, I couldn't find out much about it...but it is just so damn sexy!

Was wondering if any had any experience with these bikes that they could share with me regarding quaility and performance. Realising I am asking a lot here but would really appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks all
