Seems that Hamilton is about to lose his medal from 2004 and it goes to Lance's old teammate and buddy, Vlatcheslav Ekimov. A worthy winner??? - hmmm...

Again, he was a very good cyclist by 1984..before EPO. I respect Ekimov more than I do Berzen or Chiapucci

Ferrari 1st and 3rd then? Good podium

Starting to think if someone tests positive post race, the sport they occupied should just be blank - No winner.

    Nah.

Just say they passed the line first/completed the route in the shortest time and were busted for drugs.

The racing in cycling is so relative an dependent on others that it's a mug's game to start handing races to people who come 2nd or third.

Maybe we could run races like Sportives, or school sports days, where everybody goes as fast as possible, but nobody actually wins or loses?

Oh yes I remember before 1984 when East European Women were Men and the Men were Supermen.
I also remember the Milk Race (Tour of Britain) being won by so many East Europeans.
The Circuit Cycliste du Port Dunkerque races pre 1995 being led by a French team of six Russians which strung the field out to single file and was so long that as they passed the finish line the field was still coming round the corner the other side of the dock.

Yes I remember pre 1989 and after when the wall came down and those East Europeans joined the Pro ranks.

Yep... and I suffered the 'results' of those very same Russians and East Germans... not all as squeaky clean as Eki...
