Anyone else been selected for the ride?
I'm currently asking the real boss for permission, otherwise I may have to give up my place

Yup I got an email yesterday, got to clear it at work........fingers crossed.
Do you happen to know how many people will get invited?0 -
No, but I am worried now about with my ability to keep up!0

If it's the same as last year there were 4 groups so everyone could choose a group to suit their ability. Dan LLoyd described the fast group as felling like stage 9 of the Tour of Britain which had finished the day before. It's good fun and you get time afterwards to socialise with the team over a buffet, they even had the Garmin helicopter out filming us !! Is it Sandy Balls again as the route is a bit more varied than the first couple of years when it was run from the Garmin European HQ ?Trainee BC level 2 coach ... and that's offical (30th June 2013)
Scott Addict R4 (2008)
Scott Genius MC30 (2006)
Quest carbon circa 1994 - winter bike

It just says New Forest0

That's a surprise it should give the address of the HQ and timings. Maybe they'll be sending that out later.Trainee BC level 2 coach ... and that's offical (30th June 2013)

One of the benefits of separation is not needing permission anymore0 -
Yes, I have permission. The only thing for me is getting there, I'll have a good 2 hour drive down there from Essex0
-
So is it Sandy Balls for the HQ again then ? If it is you can get accommodation there or camp for the night before.Trainee BC level 2 coach ... and that's offical (30th June 2013)

No, it's further down the New Forest and Avon Tyrell. Having got the itinery, I'll just get up 30 mins earlier than I do for work normally and drive down. It's only a couple of hours0

I'm doing it. Luckily for me I live about 10 miles away so can take it leisurely. I rode part of the same route at the weekend, but solo and for most of it I was riding into a headwind Wondered why I saw everyone riding the other direction to me and no-one doing the same way round. They all had their sensible hats on!
However, managed to break my one of my toes on Sunday, so still in pain. But hopefully it will be recovered enough for next week.0 -

My right ITB is bad at the moment and I have Paris 2 London in two weeks... we can soft pedal at the back together 8)0 -
Wish I had known about this sooner as it looks like the entries have closed0

In case you want to get your questions ready, the Garmin team for the TOB is provisionally down as:
Tyler Farrar
Nathan Haas
Robbie Hunter
Sep Vanmarcke
Lachlan Morton
Steele Von Hoff
The last two are Aussies from the Chipotle development squad.0 -

Me too.
Got this on Friday, drive back to Glasgow after it then Pedal for Scotland with my son on Sunday - thankfully it's the equivalent of a gentle Sunday club run.
Suspect I may be dyig on Monday :shock:0 -
Anyone know if there will be changing facilities available? Was there last year ?0
-
It's an outdoor activity centre, so I would imagine so.0

Thanks. I did ask the guy from garmin who sent me my details and all he said was there was some toilets that we could use. Which I though would be interesting for 500 cyclists. Just don't want a two and a half hour drive in my kit0
