Elixir 1 vs Juicy 3

When they next break I'm thinking of ditching the Juicy 3s that came with my bike about 3 years ago. I was going to buy a new pair but Avid have discontinued the Juicy line up in favour of Elixir.
The Elixir 1s are the bottom of the range and are really cheap. Does anyone know if the Elixir 1 is better than the Juicy 3?
There's quite a jump in price between Elixir 1 and Elixir 3, but I might treat myself.

Yes, the Elixir is better than the Juicy. By much? Not really.
I'd look at some Deores over the Elixirs, even a 5.0 -
Juicy 3s on my MTB, constant adjusting, fiddling, noise etc
Elixir 1s on my Hybrid - had to change 1 set of pads in 2500 miles but apart from that never touched them
So yes, Elixir is better. I would buy Shimano if replacing though...0 -
Would second above poster. I used to have Deores on old bike, got Elixir 1 on current - Elixir's been decent enough to be fair but would probably go Deore's if I could choose from either.Boardman HT Comp 2012>
