Hi,
Having purchased a MTB for myself, I'm now looking at a Hybrid for my girlfriend - we intend to just stick to cycle paths generally.
We need a 16'' frame (she is 5'2 ish) and her only other stipulation is that it has gear levers, not turn handlebar gears.
Can anyone recommend one in this price range? I've seen the Carrera Crossfire 1 on Halfords for £249.99 currently, but unsure of how this rates across the market - any advice would be most welcome.

If you can, try a few out for size - nobody can say they are universally one size as manufacturers measure in different ways, and reach varies hugely. Though many ranges unfortunately only start at 16 inch.
The Crossfire 1 is not too hot - very heavy, useless suspension fork and is geared high with the basic screw on freewheel. If you can stretch to the Subway you save 2 lbs in weight, get a more comprehensive gearset and disc brakes thrown in too.0
