    IME My full suss takes pressure off my back more because I can sit down more so my core isn't working so hard the whole time. Shocks wise, it's probably worse because on my HT I hardly sit down but overall I get less back pain from the FS than the HT.

    It depends what kind of back problems you have really, something like a herniated disk isn't going to be helped by sitting in the saddle smashing through rocks.

  • I had a microdiscetomy 3 months ago, and I have moved to FS, HT absolutely killed me! I'm now able to actually ride and get on with things, although at the expense of extra bike weight which isn't really much of an issue. Go and try different bikes out and see what feels best for you
