phoenix traffic is 'interesting' at busy times

daytime sun is brutal this time of year, morning/evening is more pleasant

there are several organized rides there, shop can probably advise or search with google

I went a few years ago and it was 100 deg at Phoenix airport when we landed (October) so easily that now I would imagine. Phoenix prob.not great for cycling

Am now a member. I won't be in the city of Phoenix. It's near Chandler on the edge of the desert. Saw quite a number of road riders last visit. If I can find a bike in advance, I'll take pedals, shoes etc.

Ahh, when you said "one of our members", I assumed you meant a member of this forum.

    for rides try...

also, this forum has notices of rides in various areas... http://www.azfixed.com/vanilla2/

i haven't been in phoenix for ages, but the memory of the heat will never fade, it's in a valley, so once you head out far enough there are climbs to be had
