Looking at doing Jacob's Ladder tomorrow and have a few questions.

How easy is the route to follow, is there signs or is it a case of a map and compass?
Where is the best place to park starting at Edale?

Thanks

Em, Jacobs ladder is one small part of a long bridle way, it's not 'sign posted'! So all depends on your route.. Map and compass job if no gps system.

Just park in Edale is a quiet village, the car parks are very cheap.

The classic loop from edale is up to rushup edge and then down into hayfield. Then up to Jacobs ladder and down into edale
  • As Compo says - coming down Jacob's Ladder into Edale is best - (trying to) climb it on a bike is for superheroes only
