  • Are there any ex-pros at all who look anything like as thin as they used to?

Marcel Wust has a training place out in Majorca, tests bikes for ProCycling, does photo shoots for Rose Bikes catalogue and poss.some German commentary. Wilfred Peeters is a DS for Omega. Jalabert does commentary from the back of a motocycle for french TV. Andy Hampsen has a tour company out in Italy for well-heeled cyclists. Some of the lesser known riders work as guides for hotels in eg Riccione. Jamie Burrow does this and I've met a couple of domestiques for Bugno and Pantani who worked out at the Belvedere in Riccione. There is the ex-rider who runs the brothel.

That was a necessary detour that paid the bills, after the Linda McCartney team fell apart (he was manager there) and a subsequent team didn't get off the ground.
