Some one posted a comment on FB about the waste of money in sending 'curiosity' to mars, then today this was posted which I thought was interesting - oh and rip bernard lovell

    Well lets not get too excited about the Mars thing. I mean surely it can't be that hard to put a Tamiya buggy with a camera on it in a rocket and land it on Mars........ :lol:

    Looks like a shed load of money v a boatload of money to me. Both are out of my pay-grade.

    On balance, I'd vote for both anyway. A bit of a party, v a bit of scientific endeavour. What's not to like?

    What's the bloody point of going to Mars? One big empty dustbowl.

    Olympics at least there's some entertainment (I'm thinking womens beach vollyball, BMX crashes)
