Guys,
Last Sunday I did a 35 mile ride in around Basingstoke which covered 35 miles and according to bikehike.co.uk 1755ft of climbing.
My computer showed me covering the distance at an average of 14 mph.
I was blowing out my backside after the ride.
I am planning on doing Etape Caledonia in May so would like to know where I'm at

you won't win the etape caledonia but (assuming this isn't your only training ride) you'll finish it and have a nice day out.0

14mph isnt a club rider pace - but as its August and you're not riding until May you've plenty of time to improve.
Keep at the riding and work on extending the distances as you go. The speed will come with fitness.0 -
Cheers for the feedback guys.Madone 4.9 2014
