Weekend riding in swansea

To all those live or ride in or around Swansea, I'm planning on spending a weekend riding up there in the next couple of weeks, i plan on going to Afan for a day (been once before and loved it) but also looking for anywhere else worthwhile.
I've been told there are quite a lot of trails through Clyne valley by my cousin who doesn't ride, but are these easy to navigate my way around without spending most of the day going the wrong way down the good bits or is it better just spending the weekend going to Afan.
Cheers

I can't help with Clyne as I've never ridden there. Not sure what trails you've ridden at Afan but it's still as good as ever there. At the moment the final 2 sections of White's are closed for logging, but the diversion takes you down the Skyline descent which is equally awesome.
Brechfa forest which is 30 miles from Swansea in Carmarthenshire is also well worth a visit for The Raven (Black but more like Red) and Gorlech (Red) trails. Sweeping berms and fast descents, the trails have a more artificial feel than those at Afan but are no less fun.
If you want something a bit rawer, Kilvey Hill situated just outside Swansea itself has a downhill track and lots of singletrack snaking off from the top of the hill. It's not officially maintained and is more technical than the nearby trail centres but it's all rideable on a trail bike and there are chicken runs on all the tough bits.
If you need any further info let me know. Enjoy!0
