Basics for looking after RockShox?

Hi All,

I was wondering what are the basics i should be doing to look after my forks? Also how often should i get them serviced?

I wipe my stanchions after every ride, and smear a bit of float fluid every few rides and give them a pump up and down to pick any gunk out of the wipers.
Servicing depends on how much they're used I suppose. But looked after, not as often as you'd think.

And the servicing intervals in the manual are surprisingly short.
